MyChefAI lets you delete your account and associated data at any time, either directly in the app or by email.
Delete in the app (recommended)
- Sign in to MyChefAI and go to Profile.
- Scroll down to the "Delete account" section.
- Tap "Delete account", type DELETE to confirm, then tap "Permanently delete account".
Go to ProfileDelete without app access
Email support@mychefai.com from the email address associated with your MyChefAI account, with the subject "Account Deletion Request". We'll verify the request and delete your account manually.
What gets deleted
- Your account, profile, and all active sessions (you're signed out everywhere)
- Your linked sign-in methods (Google, email and password)
- All of your chat history with the AI chefs
- Your saved recipes that you have not published publicly
- Your token balance and token history
- Any support message or feedback you've submitted
- Your active subscription — canceled immediately at Stripe, including any pending checkout
What's kept
- Recipes you published publicly stay on MyChefAI, no longer attributed to your name, so other users' favorites, comments, and ratings on those recipes aren't lost
- Anonymized recipe-view statistics (which recipes were viewed, not who viewed them)
- Stripe payment and billing records are retained by Stripe as required by law — we don't control that retention
When it happens
In-app deletion is immediate — your account and data are removed from our primary database as soon as you confirm.
Email requests are processed within 30 days.
Encrypted backups that may still contain your account data are purged within 30 days of deletion.
