Bring the water to a gentle boil, then remove from heat.
Steep the chamomile tea bag (or flowers in an infuser) in the hot water for 4–6 minutes.
Warm your chosen milk alternative gently in a small saucepan or microwave until cozy-warm (not boiling). If skipping milk, skip this step.
Add optional ginger to the tea while it steeps, or stir cinnamon/vanilla into the warmed milk.
Remove the tea bag/strain, stir in the honey or maple syrup until dissolved, then pour in the warmed milk (or an extra splash of hot water) and stir.
Sip slowly about 20–30 minutes before bed and breathe deeply — sweet dreams, dear.
