Ingredients
- 100 g rolled oats
- 120 g all-purpose flour
- 50 g sugar (adjust to taste)
- 8 g baking powder (approximately 2 teaspoons)
- 2 g salt (approximately 1/2 teaspoon)
- 1 g ground cinnamon (approximately 1/2 teaspoon)
- 2 large eggs (approximately 100 g)
- 400 ml milk (dairy or plant-based)
- 60 ml vegetable oil or melted butter
- 5 ml pure vanilla extract (approximately 1 teaspoon)
Cooking Instructions
-
Prepare the Dry Ingredients:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and ground cinnamon. Whisk together until well blended.
-
Mix the Wet Ingredients:
- In another bowl, beat the eggs, then stir in the milk, vegetable oil (or melted butter), and vanilla extract until combined.
-
Combine Wet and Dry:
- Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients. Stir gently until just combined; it's okay if there are a few lumps—do not overmix!
-
Preheat the Waffle Iron:
- Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Make sure it’s hot and lightly greased for the best results.
-
Cook the Waffles:
- Pour enough batter into the preheated waffle iron to cover the surface (usually about 120-180 ml per waffle, depending on your iron). Close the lid and cook until golden brown and crisp (approximately 4-6 minutes, but check your iron's instructions).
-
Serve:
- Carefully remove the waffles and keep them warm in a low oven while you continue to cook the remaining batter. Serve hot with a drizzle of honey and your choice of fresh fruits or toppings.
