Tender chicken breasts coated in a luscious honey mustard sauce, air-fried to perfection for a healthy and delicious meal. The combination of sweet and tangy flavors is simply irresistible.
Ingredients
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 3 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 2 teaspoons olive oil
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the Marinade: In a bowl, combine honey, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Whisk until well blended.
- Marinate the Chicken: Place the chicken breasts in a resealable bag or a shallow dish. Pour the honey mustard marinade over the chicken, ensuring it’s well coated. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes (or up to overnight for maximum flavor).
- Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 370°F (188°C) for about 5 minutes.
- Cook the Chicken: Lightly brush the air fryer basket with olive oil to prevent sticking. Place the marinated chicken breasts in the basket without overcrowding it. Cook for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
- Serve: Once cooked, remove the chicken from the air fryer and let it rest for a few minutes. Sprinkle with fresh parsley if desired and serve with your favorite sides.
Flavor Profile
This dish boasts an exceptional balance of sweet from the honey and tangy from the Dijon mustard, complemented by the warmth of garlic powder and paprika. The air fryer ensures a succulent interior with a slightly crispy exterior, making every bite a symphony of flavors and textures.
