This aromatic lamb shawarma is filled with warm spices and topped with a delicious sweet-tart pomegranate molasses glaze. It’s perfect for a special meal or when you want to impress your family and friends!
Marinate the Lamb: In a large bowl, combine the minced garlic, cumin, coriander, paprika, cinnamon, turmeric, cayenne, olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Add the sliced lamb and mix well until all pieces are coated. Cover and let it marinate for at least 1-2 hours in the refrigerator (overnight is even better!).
Cook the Lamb: Preheat your grill, stovetop grill pan, or skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated lamb slices and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they are browned and cooked to your liking.
Make the Sauce: While the lamb is cooking, in a small bowl, mix the yogurt with the pomegranate molasses. This will serve as a delicious and tangy sauce.
Serve: Once the lamb is cooked, let it rest for a few minutes before slicing it further. Serve the warm lamb in pita or flatbreads, drizzled with the yogurt-pomegranate sauce, and topped with fresh parsley and optional veggies.
This lamb shawarma is a delightful dance of flavors! The warm spices add depth, while the sweetness of the pomegranate molasses brightens the dish, creating a perfect balance. The creamy yogurt sauce enhances the richness, making each bite a heavenly indulgence.
Enjoy your cooking, dear! If you have any alterations or additional questions, just let me know!
