This rich and creamy hot chocolate is sweetened with stevia and made with high-quality cocoa powder, making it a guilt-free treat for chocolate lovers!
Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup milk (any milk of your choice, such as almond, soy, or regular)
- 1-2 tablespoons stevia (adjust according to your taste)
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional for added flavor)
- Pinch of salt (to enhance the flavor)
Instructions:
-
Heat the Milk: In a small saucepan, pour in the milk and heat it over medium heat until it’s warm but not boiling. Stir occasionally to prevent it from scorching.
-
Mix the Dry Ingredients: In a small bowl, mix the cocoa powder, stevia, and a pinch of salt. This helps to evenly incorporate the cocoa and sweetener into the hot chocolate.
-
Combine Everything: Once the milk is warm, whisk in the cocoa mixture into the milk. Keep whisking until everything is well combined and smooth. If the cocoa powder clumps, you can use a small whisk or fork to break them up.
-
Heat Further: If needed, continue to heat the hot chocolate until it reaches your desired temperature.
-
Add Vanilla: If you’re using vanilla extract, stir it in just before serving.
-
Serve: Pour the hot chocolate into a mug and enjoy it on its own or alongside your pancakes!
Flavor Profile: This hot chocolate is rich, chocolatey, and perfectly sweetened without the sugar spike. The cocoa provides a deep chocolate flavor that's enhanced by the pinch of salt, making each sip a comforting delight.
