Prep the fruit: use fully ripe, soft banana and peeled mango. If using fresh mango, remove any fibrous bits near the pit so there are no strings or fibers — we don’t want anything resembling seeds.
Add to blender: place banana, mango, yogurt, milk, protein powder, oats (if using), honey, and vanilla into a high-speed blender. No seeds or berries here — all smooth ingredients.
Blend until velvety: start on low, then increase to high and blend 30–60 seconds until completely smooth. If it seems too thick, add more milk a little at a time; too thin, add a few ice cubes and pulse.
Strain if extra cautious: for absolute seed-free silkiness, pour the smoothie through a fine-mesh sieve or chinois into a bowl, pressing with a spoon to capture every drop. This also removes any tiny fibers.
Serve lukewarm or cool: for post-dental comfort, avoid very cold — let it sit a minute to reach room-temp or use slightly chilled ingredients. Sip gently from a glass; avoid strong suction from a straw for the first 48–72 hours if your surgeon advised.
Storage: keep refrigerated up to 24 hours; stir or re-blend briefly before drinking.
