These sliders are a delicious fusion of pizza and burgers, bringing together the savory flavors of melted cheese and hamburgers nestled in the soft texture of a toasted bagel. Ideal for a quick lunch or a fun dinner!
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 4 bagels (split in half)
- 1 cup pizza sauce (plus extra for topping)
- 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional toppings: sliced olives, pepperoni, or fresh basil
Instructions
- Preheat the Cookware: If you're using a grill or skillet, preheat it over medium-high heat.
- Season the Beef: In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
- Form Patties: Shape the mixture into slider-sized patties, about 2-3 inches in diameter.
- Cook the Patties: In your preheated skillet or grill, cook the patties for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness. In the last minute of cooking, spoon a bit of pizza sauce on each patty and top with shredded cheddar cheese. Cover to let the cheese melt.
- Toast the Bagels: While the patties are cooking, you can toast the bagel halves in a toaster or on the grill until golden brown.
- Assemble: Once cooked, place each cheesy pattie onto the bottom half of the toasted bagel. Add a dollop of pizza sauce and any optional toppings before placing the top half of the bagel on.
- Serve: Plate those sliders up, maybe with a side of chips or a light salad, and enjoy!
