Ingredients
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko for extra crunch)
- 2 teaspoons olive oil
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the Coating: In a shallow bowl, mix together the grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. In another bowl, beat the egg. In a third bowl, place the breadcrumbs.
- Dredge the Chicken: Dip each chicken breast into the beaten egg, allowing any excess to drip off. Then, coat the chicken in the Parmesan mixture, pressing it on to adhere well. Finally, coat it with breadcrumbs, pressing firmly to ensure they're well-covered.
- Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.
- Cook the Chicken: Lightly brush the air fryer basket with olive oil. Place the coated chicken breasts in the basket without overcrowding them. Cook for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C) and the coating is golden brown.
- Serve: Allow the chicken to rest for a few minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh parsley, and serve with your favorite veggies or a side salad.
