These Overnight Oats are creamy, wholesome, and can be made ahead of time, providing you with a convenient and filling breakfast that you can grab and go!
Ingredients:
- 2 cups rolled oats
- 2 cups oat milk (or any milk you prefer)
- 1/2 cup chia seeds
- 2-3 tablespoons maple syrup or honey (adjust to taste)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
- 1-2 cups frozen strawberries (or fresh if available)
- 1 banana, sliced (optional for topping)
- Toppings: Nuts, seeds, or more fruit as desired
Cooking Instructions:
-
Combine the Oats: In a large mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, chia seeds, oat milk, maple syrup (or honey), and vanilla extract. Stir well until everything is evenly mixed.
-
Add Strawberries: Gently fold in the frozen strawberries. If you’re using fresh strawberries, you can reserve some to add as a topping.
-
Transfer to Jars: Divide the oat mixture into individual jars or containers with lids. This recipe should make about 4 servings.
-
Refrigerate: Seal the jars and place them in the refrigerator overnight, or for at least 4-6 hours, to allow the oats to soak and the chia seeds to expand.
-
Serve: In the morning, take out the jars and give them a good stir. If the mixture is too thick, you can add a splash more milk to loosen it up. Top with additional sliced bananas, fresh strawberries, nuts, or seeds as desired.
Flavor Profile:
These Overnight Oats are creamy and slightly sweet, with a delightful burst of strawberry flavor. The chia seeds add a pleasant texture, while the oats provide a hearty base that keeps you feeling full throughout the morning.
Enjoy your wonderful breakfast, dear! If you have any adjustments or questions while you prepare this, just let me know!
