- 1 lb sirloin steak, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil, divided
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1-inch piece of ginger, grated
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 1/4 cup low-sodium beef broth
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Optional toppings: sliced green onions, sesame seeds
Instructions:
- In a bowl, combine the soy sauce and cornstarch. Add the sliced sirloin steak and toss to coat. Let it marinate for 10-15 minutes.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the garlic and ginger and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the marinated steak to the skillet and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, heat the remaining 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add the bell peppers and broccoli and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are crisp-tender.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the beef broth, oyster sauce, and sesame oil. Pour the sauce into the skillet with the vegetables and stir to combine.
- Return the cooked steak to the skillet and toss everything together. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until the steak is cooked to your desired level of doneness.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve the Sirloin Steak Stir-Fry with Broccoli and Peppers over steamed brown rice or cauliflower rice. Optional: Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds for added flavor and presentation.
