- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup plain yogurt (or substitute with regular yogurt, sour cream, buttermilk, or milk with vinegar/lemon juice)
- 1/4 cup water (reduce if using buttermilk)
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
- 1 cup cooked bacon bits
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (for drizzling)
- Fresh herbs (like chives or parsley) for garnish (optional)
Cooking Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix until well combined.
- Add the yogurt substitute and water to the flour mixture and stir until a dough begins to form. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 2-3 minutes until it becomes smooth.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle or circle, about 1/4 inch thick.
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Place the rolled-out dough on the prepared baking sheet. Brush lightly with olive oil.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheese evenly over the flatbread, followed by the cooked bacon bits.
