This dish is a staple in many Indian households. It's flavorful, crispy, and pairs wonderfully with rice. Perfect for lunch!
Ingredients
- 500 grams chicken pieces (bone-in for more flavor)
- 2 tablespoons ginger-garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 2 teaspoons red chili powder (adjust to taste)
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- Salt to taste
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
- 4 tablespoons oil (for frying)
Instructions
- Marinate the Chicken: In a mixing bowl, combine chicken pieces with ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala, salt, and lemon juice. Mix well to coat the chicken evenly. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes (or up to 2 hours in the refrigerator for deeper flavor).
- Heat Oil: In a large pan or skillet, heat the oil over medium heat.
- Fry the Chicken: Once the oil is hot, add the marinated chicken pieces in a single layer. Fry for about 5-7 minutes on one side until it's golden brown and crispy.
- Turn and Cook: Flip the chicken pieces and cook on the other side for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until fully cooked and crispy.
- Garnish and Serve: Once done, remove the chicken from the skillet and place it on paper towels to drain excess oil. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
