Ingredients
- 1 lb (450g) boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced
- 12 oz (340g) pasta (fettuccine or linguine works well)
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning (dried oregano, basil, and thyme)
- Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
Cooking Instructions
- Cook the Pasta: In a large pot, boil water and cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Sauté the Chicken: In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Add the sliced chicken, season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Cook until the chicken is browned and fully cooked (about 5-7 minutes). Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- Make the Garlic Cream Sauce: In the same skillet, add the remaining butter and minced garlic. Sauté until fragrant (about 1-2 minutes). Be careful not to burn the garlic!
- Add Cream and Broth: Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth. Stir well and bring to a gentle simmer.
- Combine: Add the grated Parmesan cheese and stir until melted and smooth. Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and mix until well combined.
- Toss the Pasta: Add the cooked pasta into the skillet, tossing it into the creamy garlic sauce until it’s well coated. Adjust seasoning with more salt and pepper if needed.
- Serve: Plate the creamy garlic chicken pasta and garnish with fresh chopped parsley.
