Ingredients:
- 1 head green cabbage, roughly chopped
- 6 slices of bacon, diced
- 1 yellow onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons butter
Instructions:
- In a large skillet, cook the diced bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove the bacon from the pan and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the diced onions and garlic and cook until soft, about 5 minutes.
- Add the chopped cabbage to the skillet and stir to combine. Cook for about 10 minutes, until the cabbage has wilted.
- Add the smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper to the skillet and stir well.
- Add the cooked bacon back into the skillet and stir to combine.
- Add the butter to the skillet and stir until melted.
- Cook for an additional 10-15 minutes, until the cabbage is tender and caramelized.
