Ingredients
- 4 medium-sized apples (preferably Granny Smith)
- 4 ripe pears
Instructions
- Peel the apples and pears, and remove the cores. Cut them into small chunks.
- In a food processor or blender, blend the apple and pear chunks until you have a smooth and uniform mixture. This should take about 1-2 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 200°F (93°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Pour the fruit mixture onto the lined baking sheet and spread it out evenly, ensuring the thickness is approximately 1/4 inch.
- Bake the mixture in the oven for 5-6 hours, or until it becomes firm to the touch and no longer sticky. You can check its consistency by gently tapping it with your finger.
- Once the fruit mixture has dried and hardened, remove it from the oven and let it cool completely.
- Cut the dried fruit sheet into rectangular bars of your desired size.
- Store the bars in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks.
