Once upon a time, a family discovered a magical way to enjoy pasta without the carbs! The zoodles became a hit, perfectly paired with a luscious and creamy sauce that everyone adored.
Ingredients:
- 4 medium zucchinis, spiralized into noodles
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning (optional)
- Fresh parsley or basil, for garnish
Cooking Instructions:
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add the ground turkey to the skillet, breaking it up with a spatula. Cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning if desired.
- Reduce the heat to low and stir in the heavy cream. Allow it to simmer for a few minutes, then add the grated Parmesan cheese. Stir until the cheese is melted and the sauce is creamy.
- In another skillet, briefly sauté the zucchini noodles in a little olive oil over medium heat, just until they are tender but still al dente, about 3 minutes.
- Combine the zucchini noodles with the creamy turkey sauce and mix well.
- Serve warm, garnished with fresh parsley or basil.
Flavor Profile:
This dish is creamy and rich, with a savory depth from the garlic and turkey, complemented by the nuttiness of the Parmesan. The zucchini adds a fresh, light crunch that balances the heaviness of the Alfredo sauce beautifully.
