Chewy Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs

- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 cups rolled oats
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
Cooking Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon (if using).
- Gradually blend the dry mixture into the wet mixture.
- Stir in the rolled oats and chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, leaving about 2 inches of space between each cookie.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden brown.
- Let them cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
