Chicken Deli Meat Sandwich Recipe Without Mayo

This recipe still has all the classic flavors of a chicken deli meat sandwich but without the mayonnaise. Instead, we'll use a simple vinaigrette to add some tang.
Ingredients
- 2 slices of your favorite bread (white, wheat, rye, sourdough, etc.)
- 3 oz. thinly sliced chicken deli meat
- 1 leaf of lettuce
- 1 slice of tomato
- 1 teaspoon of dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon of red wine vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon of honey
- Salt and pepper
Instructions
- Toast your bread in a toaster or on a skillet.
- On one slice of bread, spread the dijon mustard.
- On the other slice, mix together the red wine vinegar and honey to make a simple vinaigrette and then spread it.
- Place the chicken slices over the dijon mustard side of the bread.
- Add the lettuce leaf over the chicken slices and then place the tomato slice on top.
- Sprinkle some salt and pepper on top of the tomato.
- Put the vinaigrette side of the bread on top of the tomato.
- Slice the sandwich diagonally, if desired.
- Serve and enjoy!
