Classic Chocolate Nut Brownies

These brownies are a timeless classic and are perfect for satisfying your sweet tooth. The combination of rich chocolate and crunchy walnuts makes for a delightful texture and flavor that you simply can't resist!
Ingredients
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chopped walnuts (or more if you love nuts!)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13-inch baking pan.
- In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Once melted, remove it from the heat.
- Stir in the granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined and smooth. Be careful not to over mix!
- Fold in the chopped walnuts until evenly distributed throughout the brownie batter.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, smoothing it out evenly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs (not wet batter).
- Allow the brownies to cool in the pan before cutting into squares and serving.
