These wholesome crackers are perfect for snacking on the go. Made with organic ingredients and packed with flavor, they're sure to satisfy your cravings! These crackers will have a crispy texture with a slightly salty and sweet taste.
Ingredients
- 1 cup organic all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup organic cane sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 3 tablespoons organic sunflower oil
- 3 tablespoons water
- 1 tablespoon organic malt extract
- 1/2 teaspoon natural flavor (such as vanilla or almond)
- 1/4 teaspoon ammonium bicarbonate
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking tray with parchment paper and set it aside.
- In a bowl, mix together the organic all-purpose flour, organic cane sugar, sea salt, baking powder, and baking soda.
- In another bowl, whisk together the organic sunflower oil, water, organic malt extract, natural flavor, and ammonium bicarbonate.
- Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until you have a smooth dough.
- Divide the dough into two balls, then roll one ball out onto a floured surface until it's about 1/8 inch thick. Cut into desired shapes with a cookie-cutter or knife.
- Place the crackers on the prepared baking tray and prick each one a few times with a fork.
- Bake the crackers in the preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crisp.
- Allow the crackers to cool on the tray for 5 to 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Repeat the same process for the remaining dough ball.
