Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 4 tablespoons olive oil (extra virgin preferred)
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup chicken broth (low-sodium)
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning (a blend of basil, oregano, thyme)
- ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for a little heat)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Prepare the Chicken:
- Season the chicken breasts on both sides with salt and pepper. In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Once hot, add the chicken breasts and cook for 5-6 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F / 74°C). Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

- In the same skillet, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
- Pour in the chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan. Bring to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes.

- Reduce the heat to low and stir in the heavy cream. Allow it to simmer gently for another 3-5 minutes, letting it thicken slightly.
- Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes (if using). Mix well until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth. Season with additional salt and pepper to taste.

- Return the cooked chicken to the skillet, spooning the creamy sauce over the top. Allow the chicken to warm through for another 2-3 minutes.
