Once upon a time, in a cozy little kitchen, I found that combining flavors with a touch of warmth and hearty goodness created the best meals—just like this one!
Ingredients
- 1 pound beef (sliced thinly)
- 8 ounces noodles (egg noodles work wonderfully)
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 onion (finely chopped)
- 2-3 cloves minced garlic
- 2 tablespoons oil (for cooking)
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- Your favorite seasonings (such as paprika, thyme, or Italian herbs)
- Optional: 1 cup of frozen peas or mushrooms for added flavor and nutrition
Cooking Instructions
- Cook the Noodles: In a pot of salted boiling water, cook the noodles according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Sauté the Beef: In a large skillet, heat the oil over medium-high heat. Add the sliced beef and sauté until browned. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
- Cook the Aromatics: In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and minced garlic. Sauté until the onion is translucent and fragrant, about 3-4 minutes.
- Make the Sauce: Add the chicken broth and milk to the skillet, stirring to combine. Bring to a simmer.
- Add Seasonings: Season the mixture with salt, pepper, and any additional seasonings you chose. If using, you can add peas or mushrooms at this stage.
- Combine Everything: Return the beef to the skillet and let it cook for an additional 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld. Then, add the cooked noodles to the skillet, tossing everything together until well-coated in the creamy sauce.
- Serve: Taste and adjust seasonings if necessary. Serve hot, and enjoy your comforting dish!
