Ingredients
- 1 pound store-bought fried fish (or more, depending on your preference)
- 2 cups frozen or homemade French fries (or potato chips)
- 2 cups frozen peas
- 1 cup cream or half-and-half
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
- Lemon wedges for serving (optional)
Cooking Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In your Dutch oven, spread the frozen peas evenly along the bottom.
- Break the fried fish into pieces and layer it over the peas.
- Pour the cream or half-and-half evenly over the fish, sprinkling with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Arrange the French fries on top of the fish and cream layer, pressing down gently.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top of the fries.
- Cover the Dutch oven with its lid (or foil) and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.
- Remove the lid and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, until the fries are crispy and the cheese is bubbling.
- Garnish with fresh parsley if desired, and serve with lemon wedges on the side.
