- 8 oz spaghetti or your favorite pasta
- 1 lb shrimp (peeled and deveined)
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (adjust for spice level)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley (chopped)
- 1/2 lemon (juiced)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (for serving)
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving some pasta water.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter.
- Add the minced garlic and crushed red pepper flakes, sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add the shrimp to the skillet, season with salt and pepper. Cook until the shrimp turn pink and are cooked through, about 3-4 minutes.
- Toss the cooked pasta into the skillet with the shrimp, and add a bit of reserved pasta water to create a light sauce. Mix well.
- Stir in the fresh parsley and lemon juice, and adjust seasoning if needed.
- Serve immediately, topped with grated Parmesan cheese.
