Ingredients
Instructions
- 1
Stir the warm water, yeast, and sugar together. Rest for 5–10 minutes, until foamy.
- 2
Mix in the flour, 1 teaspoon salt, and olive oil. Knead for 6–8 minutes, until smooth and springy.
- 3
Place the dough in an oiled bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm spot for about 1 hour, until doubled.
- 4
Heat the oven to 220°C. Roll the dough into a rectangle and cut it into 16 strips. Twist or roll each strip gently, then arrange on a lined baking sheet.
- 5
Bake for 12–15 minutes, until puffed and golden.
- 6
Stir the melted butter, garlic, parsley, and remaining salt together. Brush generously over the hot breadsticks—don’t skimp, sweetheart.
- 7
Serve warm. For extra flavor, sprinkle with grated Parmesan or a little dried oregano.
