- 1 lb Italian sausage (or ground beef, if preferred)
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced

- 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 4 cups chicken or beef broth
- 8 oz lasagna noodles, broken into pieces
- 2 cups spinach (fresh or frozen)
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil or parsley, for garnish
Cooking Instructions
- In a large pot, brown the Italian sausage over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain excess fat if necessary.
- Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the pot, sautéing until the onion is translucent.
- Stir in the dried oregano and basil, cooking for an additional minute to release their flavors.
- Pour in the crushed tomatoes and chicken or beef broth, bring the mixture to a gentle boil.
