Ingredients:
- 4 tilapia fillets
- 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice
- 1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon of onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
- Salt to taste
- Lemon slices (optional)
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Rinse the tilapia fillets and pat them dry with a clean kitchen towel or paper towels.
- In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, lemon juice, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper until well combined.
- Place the tilapia fillets in a baking dish that's been coated with non-stick spray or a light coating of olive oil. Sprinkle salt over the fillets as per your taste.
- Pour the butter mixture over the tilapia fillets and make sure each fillet is fully coated. You can use a brush or spoon for an even coating.
- If using lemon slices, place a few on top of each tilapia fillet.
- Bake in the preheated oven for around 20-25 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the fish reaches 145°F (63°C) and the fish is flaky and opaque.
- Once done, remove from the oven and serve hot with your favorite sides.
This recipe gives you flavorful and tender baked tilapia with a slightly tangy and zesty lemon and pepper seasoning. Enjoy!
