Ingredients:
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cups mini marshmallows (or 40 regular-sized marshmallows)
- 6 cups cornflakes
Instructions:
- Prepare a 9x13 inch baking pan by greasing it lightly with butter or lining it with parchment paper.
- In a large saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
- Add the marshmallows to the saucepan and stir until they have completely melted and are well combined with the butter.
- Remove the saucepan from the heat and quickly add the cornflakes. Stir until all the cornflakes are evenly coated with the marshmallow mixture.
- Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking pan. Use a lightly greased spatula or your hands to press the mixture down firmly and evenly into the pan.
- Let the treats cool at room temperature for about 1-2 hours, until they have set.
- Once the treats have cooled and set, cut them into squares or desired shapes and serve.
These marshmallow Cornflake treats will have a slightly crunchy texture from the cornflakes and a sweet, marshmallow flavor. They make for a delightful twist on the classic Rice Krispies treats.
