Smoked Osso Buco with Sweet and Sour Onion Sauce on Syrian Bread

Ingredients:
- 4 pieces of Osso Buco
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 2 onions, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 cup beef broth
- 4 pieces of Syrian bread
Cooking Instructions:
- Season the Osso Buco with salt and pepper.
- In a large pot over medium-high heat, heat olive oil and sear the Osso Buco until browned on all sides. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pot, add onions and cook until caramelized.
- Add balsamic vinegar and brown sugar, cook until slightly thickened.
- Place the Osso Buco back into the pot, add beef broth, cover, and let it simmer for about 2 hours or until the meat is tender.
- Toast the Syrian bread.
- Serve the smoked Osso Buco with the sweet and sour onion sauce on top of the toasted Syrian bread.
