- 1 lb (450g) minced beef
- 1 French loaf (or baguette)
- 2 tablespoons Indian masala (e.g., garam masala)
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
- 2 tablespoons oil (vegetable or olive)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh lettuce leaves
- Optional: sliced tomatoes, cucumbers, or your favorite condiments (like yogurt or chutney)
Cooking Instructions
- Heat the oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent.
- Add the minced garlic and ginger, stirring for another minute until fragrant.
- Add the minced beef to the skillet, breaking it up with a spatula. Cook until it’s browned and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes.

- While the beef is cooking, slice the French loaf in half lengthwise. You can toast it lightly if you desire.
- Layer fresh lettuce leaves on the bottom half of the loaf, followed by a generous amount of the spiced minced beef mixture.
- Add any additional toppings you like, such as sliced tomatoes or cucumbers.
- Close the sandwich with the other half of the loaf and serve warm!
