This dish is a go-to favorite for many Korean families. It's quick to prepare and incredibly flavorful, making it perfect for a weeknight dinner or a special occasion. You'll love the spicy kick from the gochujang combined with the tenderness of the pork!
In a bowl, combine the sliced pork, gochujang, gochugaru, soy sauce, sesame oil, and sugar. Mix well and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes (longer if you can for deeper flavor).
Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
Add the minced garlic and ginger, sautéing for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
Add the marinated pork to the skillet and stir-fry for about 5-7 minutes, or until the pork is cooked through.
Add the sliced onion and bell pepper. Stir-fry for an additional 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender yet crisp.
Stir in the chopped green onions and cook for another minute.
Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds if desired. Enjoy with steamed rice and maybe some pickled vegetables on the side!
This dish is a symphony of flavors! The rich, savory taste of the marinated pork melds beautifully with the spicy and slightly sweet notes from the gochujang and sugar. The fresh crunch of the vegetables adds wonderful texture, making each bite a delight!
I hope you have a fantastic time cooking this dish! If you have questions or need any substitutions, just let me know, dear!
