Ingredients
- 1 cup oat flour
- 1 cup cassava flour
- 1/2 cup warm water (adjust as necessary)
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 teaspoon instant yeast
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup or agave nectar
- Additional dried garlic powder (optional for added flavor)
Instructions
- Prepare the Dough: In a mixing bowl, combine the oat flour, cassava flour, instant yeast, minced garlic, salt, and fresh parsley. Mix well.
- Add Wet Ingredients: In a separate bowl, mix the warm water, olive oil, and maple syrup. Slowly pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients, stirring until combined.
- Knead the Dough: Once combined, knead the dough on a clean surface for about 5-7 minutes until it becomes smooth.
- First Rise: Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover it with a damp cloth or plastic wrap, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until it has doubled in size.
- Shape the Loaf: After rising, punch down the dough to release air, then shape it into a loaf. Place it in a lightly greased loaf pan.
- Second Rise: Cover the shaped loaf again and let it rise for another 30-45 minutes.
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Bake the Bread: Once the loaf has risen, you can sprinkle some garlic powder on top (if desired) for extra flavor. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Cool and Enjoy: Remove from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and serve!
